McKinney Campaign Nears $150,000 Fundraising Milestone in Los Angeles City Attorney Race
August 14, 2026
LOS ANGELES — John McKinney, candidate for Los Angeles City Attorney, today announced that his campaign is close to reaching $150,000 in funds raised. This total reflects support from more than 150 unique donors, with contributions ranging from $5 up to $1,800 (the campaign’s maximum) in an across-the-board show of community investment. Over 200 donors.
“Reaching $150,000 is deeply humbling,” said McKinney. “It represents more than a milestone—it represents an investment in the future of Los Angeles, and in the coalition partners and concerned citizens who refuse to accept politics as usual. I’m grateful for every donor, and I’m energized to keep pushing forward with even greater urgency.”
Momentum for McKinney is building throughout the city, with a dozen events scheduled across Los Angeles communities in August—underscoring growing enthusiasm and support for his bid for City Attorney.
