Latin Business Association Endorses John Mckinney for Los Angeles City Attorney
May 11, 2026
LOS ANGELES, Calif — The Latin Business Association (LBA) – one of the nation’s leading advocates for Latino-owned business — today announced its endorsement of Deputy District Attorney John McKinney for Los Angeles City Attorney.
“Earning the endorsement of the Latin Business Association is an honor, and it continues our momentum across a wide range of communities across the City of Los Angeles,” said McKinney. “I am humbled to have gained the trust and support of an organization dedicated to the success of Latino-owned and operated businesses in California and Los Angeles.”
The LBA represents and advocates for a massive network of more than 750,000 Latino-owned businesses, including a significant membership in the greater Los Angeles area.
“Electing bold, proven leaders like John McKinney at the local level is critical to achieving progress in our community,” said LBA Chairman Ruben Guerra. “John is committed to keeping our neighborhoods safe and secure so that our businesses can grow and prosper. Endorsing John’s candidacy underscores our unified commitment to that goal.”
Today’s announcement adds to a growing list of major endorsers to the McKinney campaign. Last week, District Attorney Nathan Hochman, the Los Angeles Police Protective League, and the Central City Association endorsed McKinney for Los Angeles City Attorney, joining former District Attorneys Jackie Lacey and Steve Cooley, who endorsed earlier this spring.
